I never write reviews, figure there are enough opinions out there already. But I have to write about this book. I'm a gay therapist and life coach and have been repeatedly stunned by the reality and depth of this story, along with the erotic quality. I bought this as a wank read and found myself wanting what these two men found and committing to put in more effort to finding it for myself. Granted, it's fiction. But life is the story we write for ourselves and this story (and the author who wrote the words) inspires me to work harder at finding play and vulnerability. I'd actually call it powerful, both for gay men and the straight people who want to better understand them. As my lesbian friend said tonight: "I believe in love."

Collide Blackcreek Book 1 edition by Riley Hart Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

Once again a great story from Riley Hart. Two boys collided and became best friends during a stressful period. One lost his parents in a fire, the other loses his daily over his mother's chronic infidelity. They are there for each other until one day when Noah's parents up and move them away. Years later straight Cooper runs into gay Noah on the street 19 years after they first met. Suddenly the best friends are back together.
Love knows no gender is my motto. These men have always been best friends, completing each other, and strengthening each other. Now, they fall in love as men. Straight Cooper has issues to deal with because he has never thought about men, but he wants Noah. While labels such as gay, straight, bi are " helpful ", they simply are words. These two men are in love with each other. Cooper doesn't lust after men, he lusts after his Noah. The events that cause the problems with Cooper and his uncle should be surprising but it clears up everything. Great story about love.
"Sometimes people come quietly into our life. Not Coop. Twice, he collided into Noah' s world."

This story is told through both Noah and Coop' s perspective. It starts with them as 10 year old boys.

"Coop was outside playing football with some friends, and Noah pushed his right into the game by going for the same catch as Coop had. They'd collided in mid-air, fell on their assets, and were best friends for the next three years."

It was short lived due to their parents struggle with each other, that their father would up and move them around the country. Coop was Noah' s first real best friend. And that was taken away from them both.

17 years later, Noah returns to the place he once called home. Not even a few hours into his return bad luck has already struck him not once, but twice.

"Noah rolled over in bed, all his muscles stiff. He felt like he'd been hit by a truck. As soon as the thought struck him, he realized how ridiculous it was considering that's exactly what happened. Cooper Bradshaw collided right into him."

Thus starts how Coop and Noah return into each other's lives. He has Noah staying while he recovers from his injury and in return it gave Noah a place to stay anyway while he looks for a shop to open his business. They fall back easily into their comfortable friendship...and so much more.

This is a story of love having no boundaries, whether it be sex, age, religion. Love is love. Even if you were once a straight man finding yourself in love with a gay man. It goes to show you that love doesn't care who you are or whet you're from, when you find it, you hold on to it.
Ok, this was the first book I have read from this genre. I was hesitant about reading it because I didn't want the cheesy stereotypes and content. This is the story of two friends Noah and Cooper. They have been friends since they meet as collided as children playing football. From day one they were inseparable. They were thick as thieves and did everything together from camping, playing sports, to sneaking out and meeting girls. The one day while Cooper was away Noah and his family left. They were both devastated, it was not until 17years later that they collided again. Literally!!! Noah is running from a bad relationship and not a lot of joy in his life. He has lived as a gay man for many years and is not ashamed of who he is. He doesn't really trust people due to seeing his parents relationship growing up. So he goes back to the only place that ever felt like home in hopes of maybe seeing his best friend. The people he loves more than anything, the only person that ever understood him. Cooper. Cooper is a firefighter and a ladies man. He has never settled down and doesn't want to. One night while driving he literally runs into to Noah seeing him for the first time in 17 years. He is excited to have his best friend back and offers to let him stay at his house after he gets out of the hospital (lol). Noah agrees to stay with Coop and help him do some work on his hose while Noah recovers and starts to get his furniture business going. Once he finds out Noah is gay he is shocked to say the least but no matter what he loves his best friend and supports him. Then these feelings he . has never known start to bubble up and he feels they are wrong and not what he wants or needs, but this is Noah so it changes everything. They go through many struggles. Coop not being sure if it is what he truly is and refusing to accept it, but in the end the love they have for each other is beyond anything else. I loved this story and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in this genre.
